Claim process

Royalty distribution to rights owners

International royalty claims (2020–21)

IRRO is currently distributing royalties collected for the 2020–21 period. These funds originate from international Reproduction Rights Organisations (RROs) under bilateral agreements for the use of published works abroad.

Claim verification

Eligible claimants must submit a claim confirming they are the bonafide rights holder. Upon verification of ownership, IRRO will process the payment.

Critical timelines and trust period

Primary deadline

March 31, 2024
Rights owners were encouraged to approach IRRO by this date.

Trust period (Extended access)

Undistributed amounts are held in trust for three years following the primary deadline. During this period, claimants may still submit claims accompanied by credible documentary proof of ownership.

03.

Final expiry

March 31, 2027
No claims will be entertained after the trust period expires.
